How to save movies from YouTube Shorts
YouTube Shorts has quietly become a movie discovery machine: scene edits, "underrated films" countdowns, trailer recuts. And YouTube even has a real save button, Watch Later, which is precisely the trap: you save the Short, watch it later, and still have to remember the film it was about.

Why Watch Later does not build a watchlist
Watch Later stores videos you intend to watch, and it is good at that. But a Short about a film is not the film: when movie night comes you are scrolling a list of thumbnails, replaying clips to extract titles, doing archaeology on your own saves. Countdown Shorts are worse, ten films in fifty seconds, none captured.
Shorts also share the fragility of all clip content: copyright strikes take down the best scene edits, and the channel that named the film in a pinned comment gets deleted. The title is the durable part.
