How to clean up your TikTok Favorites
Your TikTok Favorites is a core sample of your last three years: sounds, recipes, life hacks, twelve films you meant to watch, an entire abandoned reading list. TikTok does offer collections, but favoriting happens at scroll speed and sorting does not, so the bucket always wins.
Cleaning it is one evening. Here is the method, including what to do with the titles buried in there.
The sort, and the rescue
Work newest to oldest, and give every video one of three fates: file it, extract it, or let it go. Filing is for genuinely reusable stuff, recipes, techniques, and TikTok’s collections handle it fine: hold the favorite and assign a collection. Letting go is the default; a favorite that no longer sparks anything was a moment, not a plan, and the bottom third of any Favorites bucket is pure sediment.
Extraction is the interesting fate, and it applies to anything with a title: film clips, series scenes, BookTok recs. Filed into a collection they are still just videos; extracted, they become the actual film, series or book, which is what you were saving all along.

Can an app clean my Favorites for me?
No. TikTok does not let outside apps read your favorites, so anything promising a bulk import is lying or phishing. Two seconds per video, shared by hand, is the real speed limit, and it is faster than it sounds.
Should I use TikTok collections more going forward?
Yes, for the reusable stuff: hold the bookmark and file at save time. But route anything with a title out to a real shelf immediately; a collection called "Movies" is still a pile of videos.
